Jaronn McAllister was murdered nearly a year ago, according to authorities. So far, no arrests have been made in the case.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The death of an innocent 3-year-old boy is now being handled as a murder case, according to authorities.

Jaronn McAllister died nearly a year ago because of internal bleeding due to blunt force trauma.

According to police, Montey Andrea Murray dropped of the young child at Brunswick Novant Medical Center and left. McAllister was later pronounced dead.

Local law enforcement told WECT.com that they are actively working the case in hopes of making an arrest in 2013.

Right now, this is the only open murder case on file at the Shallotte Police Department.

Authorities could not release any more details on this case.
