BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Court officials in Brunswick County are sending a warning to residents about a potential scam.
People may get a phone call telling them they missed jury duty, even though they weren't called to serve.
Callers have been asking for social security numbers and personal information – if you get a call like this, do not give out any personal information.
Brunswick County courts haven't seen any calls first hand, but there have been some concerns in the area about the issue.
