SHALLOTTE, NC (WECT) - NEAH Energy announced Wednesday morning plans to open up in the Shallotte Business Park.
According to economic development leaders, the company is expected to quickly bring more than a hundred potential jobs to the area.
NEAH Energy is a green industry that specializes in refrigeration trucking and walk in coolers. Chief operating officer/inventor Steve Kehrer is hoping to revolutionize the way people cool their foods.
The units they create use solar panels to power the coolers, which can save up to 75% annually on energy bills.
Operations are expected to begin in January with the possibility of some expansion in the county.
Brunswick Community College plans to develop a customized training program to help feed graduates into the company.
Anyone interested in applying to the company now should call any employment services commission in the area.
