Authorities asking public for help following string of larcenies

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Authorities in Brunswick County are urging residents in Carolina Shores to keep their valuables safe following a string of larcenies.

According to a news release from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, detectives have been recently investigating many larcenies from unlocked cars. As a result, Sheriff Ingram wants to remind citizens to lock their vehicles and to not leave any valuables inside of them.

The most recent incident took place Thursday, when a witness said that a white male, around 5'6", was wearing all black, and was spotted in her vehicle around 6:30 a.m.

If you have any information as to who might be involved with the crimes, you’re asked to contact the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office at 910-253-2777 or Detective Kyle Jones at 910-579-7030.
