BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Brunswick County emergency responders are mourning the loss of one of their own.

According to emergency services, Jack Snoddy died Monday afternoon in his own home.

Snoddy was a medic and rotated shifts throughout the entire county.

WECT.com is told that his daughter and son-in-law work as paramedics in Brunswick County as well. The two were not on shift at the time emergency responders were sent to his home, according to supervisors.

Brunswick County Coroner Greg White said the body will be sent to Jacksonville for an autopsy. Results should be released Wednesday afternoon.
